Despite the fire in October, HLIS finished the 2018 school year. The picture above shows the graduates with missionaries Dr. Martin and Marie Dicke, Sir Peter Ipatas, Enga Governor, and Henry Kapao, Enga Provincial Education Inspector.
In good news for the future of the school, Governor Ipatas has created an Interim School Board and will provide funds for the rebuilding of the burned administration building. Plans are already underway for the new building, and a new interim principal has been appointed to replace Neil Brown.
